Why is it Important to Detail Your Vehicle

Auto detailing helps to maintain your paints condition and improves the physical appearance of your vehicle. The paint on your vehicle can be broken down in to 3 layers; primer, base coat and clear coat. Every time you go for a drive, airborne contaminants land on the surface and get baked into the clear coat. These contaminants are called fallout. By detailing your vehicle regularly, it helps prevent fallout from permanently baking into your paint, maintaining its smooth, glossy shine.
Over time, the clear coat on your vehicle can start to fade from the contaminants on your paint being exposed to oxygen and UV rays from the sun. This is called oxidation. This can cause your vehicles paint to have a faded or cloudy appearance. When you get your vehicle detailed regularly, the oxidation can be removed with correcting compounds and a polisher. The wax or paint sealant that is applied afterwards will provide a thin protective layer over your paint, which helps prevent it from being compromised in the future.
Protecting your investment is important right? Regularly detailing your vehicle will save you money in the long run. By removing contaminants before they develop real wear, you will help your vehicle depreciate at a lower rate. Auto detailing also increases the lifespan of your vehicle, which means less costs for repairs and more money for you!
